Villains in Magic are creatures who pursue power, revenge, or domination, often commanding minions and breaking ordinary rules of combat. They appear across the game’s worlds as schemers, warlords, and monsters, usually in black and red mana, where ambition and recklessness meet.
Villain typal decks tend to reward committing to the creature type, often by going wide with cheap threats or building toward a few powerful finishers. Because many Villains sit in black and red, the deck can lean on removal, sacrifice, and recursive threats while pressuring opponents’ life totals. Some builds are aggressive, others more midrange and attrition-based, using key creatures to turn a board of villains into a coordinated scheme.
