Goblins are Magic's quintessential red swarm creature type — small, chaotic, and numerous across many worlds. They appear as mischievous raiders, explosive tinkerers, and fanatical mobs, often with an appetite for mayhem and a willingness to throw themselves at problems, or at each other. In gameplay, Goblin typal decks usually lean Red and aim to go wide with inexpensive creatures, then convert that board into pressure through haste, sacrifice, or damage effects.
Because so many Goblins are cheap, the deck can rebuild quickly after a sweep and often uses lords, token makers, and recursion to keep the board full. Some builds are all-in aggressive, while others grind with value engines, sacrifice payoffs, or combo finishes. The type's identity remains constant: fast, expendable, and dangerous in numbers.
