Rogues are Magic's covert operators: thieves, assassins, pirates, spies, and scoundrels who prefer trickery, speed, and evasion to open combat. Across the game's worlds they take many forms, from shadowy agents to opportunistic freebooters, but their flavor stays rooted in secrets, sabotage, and taking what others leave unguarded. They rarely fight fair, and that is the point.
Typal Rogue decks usually turn a stream of small, evasive creatures into compounding advantage. Their main colors are blue and black, so builds often mix disruption and card draw with discard, sacrifice, or graveyard synergies. Common plans include attacking with hard-to-block creatures, triggering abilities when Rogues connect or enter, and using payoffs that reward playing many Rogues. Some versions are aggressive, but many prefer tempo and attrition: pick away resources, dodge blockers, and close the game before opposing defenses stabilize.
