Cats are one of Magic's most recognizable creature types, appearing from cozy hearths to wild prides across the multiverse. They range from nimble hunters and loyal companions to regal leaders and supernatural felines, giving the type a broad flavor that fits both White's discipline and Green's instinct. In this catalog, Cats are primarily White and Green, with a smaller presence in artifacts and enchantments.
Cat typal decks tend to reward commitment: playing many Cats lets you build a wide board, then leverage shared bonuses or combat tricks to overwhelm opponents. Because the type includes both aggressive small creatures and larger finishers, builds can lean toward fast starts or a more midrange plan. The best Cat decks usually balance creature count with support pieces that make each Cat matter.
