Oozes are Magic's consumptive blobs—shapeless things that eat, grow, and split. They turn up wherever decay and unchecked growth meet: fetid swamps, laboratory spills, and jungles that swallow ruins. Black and green are their home colors, so their flavor mixes rot with regrowth; an ooze rarely stays small for long, and the biggest ones are less a creature than a creeping disaster.
Typal Ooze decks lean into that identity: they go wide with tokens, stack +1/+1 counters, and profit when creatures die. Because so many oozes sit at common and uncommon, the archetype can be built casually or tuned for competitive grinding, usually trading speed for a resilience that outlasts removal.
