Artificers are Magic's inventors, tinkers and smiths — characters who fight with devices rather than brute force. They show up across the Multiverse as white's orderly engineers, blue's obsessive inventors and red's impulsive gadgeteers, and their work fills battlefields with thopters, servos, constructs and golems. Wherever a world has technology, industry or a workshop, an Artificer is usually nearby, turning raw material into a machine that does the fighting for them.
Typal Artificer decks are artifact decks first and creature decks second. They tend to go wide, generating token creatures and cheap artifacts, then converting that board into value through cost reduction, sacrifice outlets, recursion or card draw. Lords and payoffs reward having many artifacts or many creatures, so the deck grinds rather than rushes, and the best draws snowball quickly once a few enablers are on the battlefield.
