Liliana Vess is a black-aligned planeswalker from Dominaria, best known as a necromancer who commands the dead. Her magic is rooted in death, decay, and the raising of corpses, and she has long been one of Magic's most prominent black mana characters.
She is defined by her ambition, wit, and readiness to make dangerous bargains—especially with demons—to secure her survival and power. Her stories often explore the price of those deals and her fierce desire for autonomy, casting her as a self-interested schemer who sometimes works alongside others when it suits her goals.
