Sphinxes are Magic's riddling oracles and ageless guardians, most often found in white and blue. They appear across many worlds as watchful keepers of temples, libraries and forbidden knowledge, speaking in puzzles and demanding a toll in insight before they lend their strength. Their art leans toward winged, majestic figures with lion-like bodies and human faces.
A typal Sphinx deck is usually a blue-white control shell that trades early tempo for card advantage, using flying bodies to close games once the board is stabilised. Sphinxes reward patience: many are expensive, so decks run mana acceleration, defensive spells and ways to dig for their threats. Because the tribe skews toward evasion and knowledge-based effects, games tend to be slower and more attritional than aggressive tribal builds.
