Soldiers are the rank and file of Magic's many worlds — drilled infantry, watch captains, and garrisons holding a line while something far larger looms behind them. They show up wherever a plane has an army: Benalish foot troops, Thraben's guardians, the enlisted of whatever faction is currently marching. Almost all of them are white, and the type leans toward discipline over raw size: cheap bodies that fight well together, hold ground, and reward you for keeping a formation rather than a single champion.
Typal Soldier decks are usually aggressive or midrange creature decks that go wide. They flood the board with inexpensive creatures, then convert that crowd into an advantage through lords and anthem effects, token generation, and combat keywords like vigilance and first strike. Because the type is so deep, builds range from fast mono-white swarms to slower lists that trade early pressure for resilience and a bigger late-game board.
