About Pilot

Pilots are Magic’s crew of navigators, racers, and ace operators. Across the Multiverse, the type covers fantasy airship captains, mech jockeys, military crew, and futuristic pilots. Their identity is motion: they take the controls of whatever vessel or machine a world offers, turning otherwise cumbersome hardware into a threat. Some are daring individuals; others are part of a larger crew or fleet, but all share a knack for making vehicles perform beyond their normal limits.

Pilot typal decks tend to blend creature and artifact synergies. They deploy cheap Pilots to enable their vehicles and payoffs, then close with evasive or large threats. Because the type’s main colors in this catalog are White and Red, lists often lean aggressive or midrange, using multiple Pilots to trigger typal rewards. The deck can pivot between a go-wide creature plan and a hardware-driven plan, making it flexible but dependent on keeping its operators on the battlefield.
